We are excited to announce that SRP Companies Canada (CPC) was awarded the NACDA (National Convenience Stores Distribution Association) Industry Innovation Award for the second year in a row! CPC won overall in General Merchandise and beat big competitors like BIC and other large companies competing in this same category. CPC was chosen for the award due to their unique Portable USB Mini Fan that is a hot selling item in the convenience store industry today.
This year, NACDA was held in Quebec City, Canada with its highest attendance yet. NACDA has been around since 1955 and represents the interests of independent and institutional distributors and manufacturers in Canada who serve the convenience store market. NACDA members supply convenience stores across Canada with food, beverage and general merchandise items, many of the members are family-owned and have been in operation, for some, up to 100 years.
According to NACDA:
“The convenience store industry is an important commercial sector in Canada that provides over 230,000 Canadians with employment and represents approximately $51.7 billion in overall sales.”
CPC’s President, Garson Hoffman, and Vice President, Keith Johnson, attended the conference on behalf of CPC. The event was attended by all major Canadian executives in the convenience store industry. It is a great opportunity to see what competitors are putting on the market as well as show potential customers what it means to truly represent Platinum Level Category Management.
